This is the 4th video in a series where I explain the basics of Tai Chi Straight Sword (Taijijian) training. In this video I discuss the main purpose for holding the Sword Fingers hand posture with your empty hand while practicing Tai Chi Straight Sword forms. There are a lot of different beliefs out there about why the Sword Fingers hand posture exists and several of those are discussed in this video also.

I’m a huge admirer of Chungliang Al Huang and hope to pay homage to his wisdom and positivity with this demonstration. World Tai Chi & Qi Gong Day 2023
at the Ames Free Library - Easton, MA
I am mostly off camera leading a group of awesome people who
came out for World Tai Chi and Qi Gong Day 2023. This is the 8th year celebrating this event at The Ames Free Library in North Easton, Massachusetts. It was a beautiful, cloudy morning. We all met up, had a light warm-up, practiced Tang Bom, and then performed the 24 Posture Yang Style Tai Chi (Taiji) Chuan set. We finished up the morning with Qi Gong (qigong) and a Gratitude Meditation.
I hope everyone had a good time!

I am constantly asked by people, "What is Qigong?". I often start by asking them if they have ever heard of Taiji (Tai Chi). If they have then I can use their level of understanding of Tai Chi to explain what Qigong is.

In the video above I'll be answering the question, "What is the difference between Qigong and Tai Chi?".
